Riverdale Season One Review

On January 26, 2017, a take on of the Archie Comics, Riverdale, starring KJ Apa, Cole Sprouse, Lili ReinhartImage result for riverdale season 1, Camilla Mendes, and Madeline Petsch, premiered on Netflix as well as on the CW.

Riverdale is a great drama and a fun series to binge watch. The entire season came out on Netflix containing 13 episodes of pure surprise and suspense. With her controlling mother and missing sister, Betty Cooper desperately tries to follow her heart to finally have Archie, her best friend, and the boy she is in love with. Archie Andrew, a student, struggles to balance a football career, helping his dad at work, and pursuing music, which ultimately lead to his affair with the music teacher, Ms. Grundy. Jughead Jones, a brooding writer, narrates the story, and mystery, of Riverdale.  Veronica Lodge, the new girl in town, tries to escape her lavish past and start a new life away from her crime-ridden father and city life.  Cheryl Blossom, the “it” girl who’s popularity is based on fear alone, is captain of her cheer leading team in the wake of her brothers death.

Together, they try to solve the mystery of who killed Jason Blossom, Cheryl’s brother found dead, in the Sweetwater River. Riverdale has a new surprise each episode and the ending shocked watchers everywhere.  A classic who-did-it, Riverdale is a great watch for anyone who loves mystery, suspense, and drama.
